The Potomac Conservancy is working with private landowners along the Potomac River to enourage protection of sensitive forest land from development. Through conservation easements, the Conservancy is permanently protecting valuable green corridors along the river that provide wildlife habitat, pollution provention, and scenic beauty for river users.
Easements are voluntary conservation tools that prevent development, such as the deck complex seen across the river, from marring natural landscapes.
