Students at Blue Ridge Community College are working hard to install a rain garden. Rain gardens are small stormwater management areas that work to filter runoff and slow flow into neighboring streams. Rain gardens purify rather than just detain runoff like sediment basins. Dr. Joe Murray and his students are contributing to the overall environmental stewardship of the college by having a demonstration site for the community to visit.
